🔍 About the Project:
The Upper Trishuli‑1 Hydroelectric Project is a major infrastructure development in Nepal’s renewable energy sector aimed at strengthening national power generation capacity. Power Construction Corporation of China Ltd., a leading EPC contractor, invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the Design Engineer role to support engineering design, site supervision, and coordination at the project site.
SINOHYDRO–KSNS JV is executing the Tamakoshi-V Hydroelectric Project, a 99.8 MW run-of-the-river hydropower initiative that is a national priority in Nepal. As part of our commitment to engineering excellence and precision, we are looking for a qualified and dedicated Geomatics Engineer to join our on-site technical team in Dolakha.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to finalize structural and civil designs in compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Prepare detailed design drawings and technical documentation for hydropower components such as tunnels, intakes, and powerhouses.
- Monitor and manage the design schedule, ensuring it aligns with project timelines and construction sequencing.
- Resolve design-related interface issues through collaborative problem-solving and clear communication.
- Perform quantity calculations for reinforcement and concrete in major civil structures.
- Ensure timely approval of designs and obtain necessary permissions from consultants for site implementation.
- Supervise site-based activities including tunnel excavation, shotcrete application, and installation of rock bolts.
- Provide on-site technical assistance during concrete casting and support material testing to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design updates and communicate effectively with the construction team.
🎓 Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent degree
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in structural or civil design, preferably in hydropower or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong technical understanding of construction practices and design interface coordination
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
