About the Position

A leading Hydropower Construction Project in Bhojpur is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and experienced Public Relations Officer (PRO) to strengthen communication and coordination between the project, local communities, government authorities, and other key stakeholders.

The position plays a critical role in maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, addressing community concerns, facilitating local coordination, and supporting the smooth execution of project activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between project management, local communities, and government authorities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with municipalities, ward offices, district administration, and other local stakeholders.
  • Handle community grievances, complaints, and social issues in coordination with project management.
  • Support the project team in obtaining local approvals, permits, and administrative clearances.
  • Organize stakeholder consultations, community meetings, public hearings, and engagement programs.
  • Monitor local sentiments and provide timely feedback to management regarding emerging issues.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, notices, meeting minutes, and official documentation.
  • Facilitate effective communication to minimize disruptions and maintain harmonious project-community relations.
  • Coordinate with local leaders, social organizations, and relevant agencies to support project implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with local administrative procedures and stakeholder engagement requirements.

Qualification & Experience
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Public Administration, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Additional training in Public Relations, Communication, Community Development, or Stakeholder Management will be an added advantage.

Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Community Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, or a related field.
  • Experience working in hydropower, infrastructure, construction, or development projects will be highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in handling local stakeholders, community concerns, social issues, and government coordination.
  • Familiarity with local governance structures and administrative procedures in Nepal.

Required Competencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and handle grievances diplomatically.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills in both Nepali and English.
  • Good knowledge of local laws, administrative processes, and government coordination mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in Nepali typing and office documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in remote and challenging project environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building capabilities.
