Position Overview

Brij Cement is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead and manage project-based business in construction materials, including cement, steel, and construction chemicals. This role involves end-to-end project handling—from client acquisition to execution, technical coordination, billing, and collection—ensuring profitability, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

A. Project Acquisition & Business Development

• Identify and secure new project opportunities (hydropower, infrastructure, commercial, residential).
• Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and project owners.
• Participate in tenders, negotiations, and technical discussions.
• Achieve monthly and annual project sales targets.

B. Technical Coordination

• Understand project specifications and recommend suitable materials (OPC/PPC/PSC cement, steel grades, admixtures).
• Provide technical support to clients and site engineers.
• Coordinate with internal R&D/production teams for customized solutions.

C. Project Execution & Monitoring

• Ensure timely supply of materials as per project schedule.
• Monitor site usage, consumption patterns, and performance of materials.
• Handle site-level issues and provide quick resolutions.
• Maintain strong coordination between client, site team, and company operations.

D. Commercial & Billing Management

• Prepare quotations, BOQs, and rate analysis.
• Track billing, invoicing, and payment collection.
• Manage credit control and ensure timely recovery.
• Maintain project-wise profitability.

E. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain project pipeline and status reports.
• Submit weekly/monthly reports on sales, site progress, and collections.
• Keep proper documentation of agreements, approvals, and site records.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Project Sales: Achievement of monthly/annual targets
• Project Acquisition: Number of new projects onboarded
• Collection Efficiency: >90% within credit period
• Project Execution: On-time supply & zero complaints
• Client Retention: Repeat business from key clients

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management
• Experience: Minimum 5 years (preferred 5–10 years) in construction materials or project sales
• Skills:
  • Strong technical + commercial understanding
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Problem-solving mindset (especially for site issues)
  • Good command of Excel / reporting tools
  • Leadership and team coordination ability

Preferred Experience

• Hydropower / infrastructure project exposure
• Existing network with contractors and consultants in Nepal
• Experience handling project-based sales and execution together
