About the Job Profile

The Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer will support the Contract Department in quantity take-off, cost estimation, site measurement, and management of variations and claims related to civil and electro-mechanical interface works on a hydropower project.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-off and measurements from AutoCAD drawings and site records.
• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analysis.
• Conduct site measurements for civil and electro-mechanical interface works.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders at the project site.
• Prepare, substantiate, and finalize Variation Orders and claim quantification reports with supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate measurement records and contract-related cost documents.
• Work efficiently under site pressure and assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in hydropower or large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in site measurement, variations, and claims.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost estimation tools.
• Understanding of EPC / FIDIC-based contracts.
• Ability to work independently at remote project sites.
• Proficiency in English and Nepali (Chinese language is an advantage).
