ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project is a 216 MW run-of-river hydroelectric development located in Rasuwa District, Nepal. This flagship project represents a significant investment in Nepal’s renewable energy infrastructure and is being executed to international standards.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Scheduling Manager from an engineering background to join our project management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, analyzing progress, identifying delays, and preparing critical scheduling documentation for this complex EPC hydropower development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule Development & Management
- Prepare the L3 schedule (interpreted schedule of EPC project).
- Prepare the L4 schedule of the civil activities (breakdown of the work).
- Schedule analysis (progress analysis, delay analysis, resource analysi)
- Experience for draft EOT (extension of time) report and delay claim report.
- Recording the delay event and updating the impact from the schedule point of view for busyness claim.
- Update schedules regularly with actual progress information
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct comprehensive schedule analysis (progress, delay, resource utilization)
- Generate weekly and monthly progress reports for project management
- Identify schedule variances and recommend recovery strategies
- Track critical path activities and highlight potential risks to project timelines
Claims & Contract Support
- Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) reports with supporting documentation
- Develop delay claim reports with detailed impact analysis
- Provide scheduling data to support contractual negotiations
- Collaborate with the Contract Manager on time-related contractual matters
Resource & Interface Management
- Monitor resource allocation and utilization across project activities
- Identify and manage interfaces between various contractors and project components
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure schedule integration
- Optimize resource deployment to meet project milestones
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
- Professional certification in Planning/Scheduling or Project Management preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Planning/Scheduling Engineer
- Demonstrated experience on civil infrastructure or hydropower projects
- Previous involvement in EPC project environments
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 software
- Strong knowledge of scheduling methodologies and critical path analysis
- Experience with earned value management techniques
- Ability to develop and analyze detailed construction schedules
- Competence in preparing EOT claims and delay analysis reports
