About the Role

We are seeking an experienced OSHE Manager to oversee and implement comprehensive safety, health, and environmental management systems for our hydropower construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety while maintaining environmental compliance in challenging construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Management

• Develop and implement comprehensive OSHE policies, procedures, and programs
• Lead safety inspections and audits across hydropower construction sites
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions
• Conduct risk assessments for construction activities, especially in high-risk areas
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations
• Manage emergency response planning and coordination

Health Management

• Oversee occupational health programs and medical emergency response systems
• Implement health monitoring programs for workers in high-risk environments
• Coordinate with medical facilities for emergency response planning
• Manage health surveillance programs for workers

Environmental Management

• Develop and implement environmental management systems
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits
• Monitor environmental impacts during construction
• Coordinate with environmental authorities and stakeholders

Training and Development

• Develop and conduct OSHE training programs for all levels of staff
• Maintain training records and certification requirements
• Create safety awareness programs and campaigns
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in OSHE management, with at least 5 years in hydropower or major construction projects
• Advanced certifications in occupational safety (NEBOSH/OSHA/equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of international OSHE standards and best practices
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems

• Proficiency in OSHE management software
• Risk assessment and hazard identification techniques
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Emergency response planning
• Environmental impact assessment
• Safety audit and inspection protocols
