Everest Parenterals Pvt. Ltd. is Nepal’s first state-of-the-art sterile injectable manufacturing facility. The plant is ideally situated in Chhatapipra, Bara, Nepal, which adjoins India through its border in Bihar. It is the first plant in Nepal that facilitates the manufacturing of large-volume Parenterals, Small-Volume Parenterals, Eye/Ear Drops, and nasal Spray under one roof. It was incepted in 2015 with a vision to provide high-quality injectables to the country at low costs, making the country self-sufficient in injectable products.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:
- To ensure that Company’s Quality Policy, Rules & Regulations and Code of Conduct are followed by self and fellow colleagues in the Engineering department.
- To remain “updated” in the ever-changing engineering excellence-related knowledge and suggest modern, and latest equipment and higher level of automation and control gadgets to achieve higher operational efficiency and quality of products.
- To develop and implement responsibilities and SOPs of Engineering department and implement them.
- To train fellow colleagues in maintenance subjects essential to discharge their duties effectively and efficiently.
- To implement and practice the principles of Good Engineering Practices (GEPs) in work practices, maintenance jobs of facility and premises, equipment and utilities.
- To implement guidelines outlined in the principles on GEPs by imparting training to fellow colleagues.
- To provide technical inputs in the design and development of project of additional facility or expansion of the existing facility.
- To ensure that grounds and premises, buildings and utilities, equipment, storage tanks, piping, electric fittings and drainage systems and ETP are maintained in safe, clean & sanitary condition and state of repair so that they function efficiently with minimum breakdowns and also that they do not pose a risk of contamination to products.
- One of the key aspects of responsibilities is uninterrupted utility service including proper functioning of HVAC, Purified water plant, WFI plant, compressed gases, vacuum, boiler, diesel generator and ETP.
- To organize and execute breakdown jobs on time in coordination with HODs of various departments.
- To seek support required for Engineering department necessary for smooth functioning of Engineering department in general and those areas wherein there could be crucial or major breakdown or mishap incidents in specific.
- To identify areas of deficiencies through inspections based on the principles of “Risk Analysis” and take proactive actions to prevent breakdowns (Predictive preventive maintenance).
- To coordinate with the HODs to plan and execute preventive maintenance as per SOPs.
- To schedule and perform preventive maintenance activities across the plant and ensure that the facility, premises, building, equipment and utilities are available for use in good, safe working condition and as necessary in a qualified status.
- To advise the Management to update the existing equipment for higher efficiency or their replacement at an appropriate time.
- To develop a “Risk-based” strategy for maintenance of spares and periodically check the stocks as defined.
- To proactively identify existing and prospective sources of hazards and hazardous situations/locations and take prompt actions to contain them with priority as described in the SOPs of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS).
- To provide technical and documentary assistance to QA department in vendor selection, FAT, SAT, Qualification and requalification of equipment including inspections, verifications of functional aspects and automation as applicable.
- To coordinate with the external agencies for calibration, validation and qualification activities as scheduled.
- To calibrate measuring devices in the plant as per written schedule so that they have valid calibration status all the time.
- To ensure specifically adequate maintenance (and documentation as per Good Documentation Practices) and verifications of proper functioning of critical Equipment, LAF, Autoclave, Tunnel sterilizer, filling and packing machines, Purified Water plant, WFI plant and HVAC system.
- To liaise with external service providers for assistance for maintenance activities such as fabrication and software support.
- To conduct safety audits and take necessary CAPA to prevent potential areas of mishaps and accidents.
- To assist IT service provider in networking, sever maintenance and repairs done by external agencies.
- Shall Executive other responsibilities on assigned by Plant Head.
