Job Overview
A reputed accounting and business advisory firm based in New Road, Kathmandu is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Associate / Junior Accountant to support accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, MIS reporting, and client accounting services.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate books of accounts for multiple clients.
- Record daily accounting transactions, journal entries, receipts, payments, purchases, and sales.
- Prepare ledgers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and documentation.
VAT, TDS & Tax Compliance
- Assist in VAT and TDS return preparation and filing.
- Support preparation of tax-related schedules and calculations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with clients for required accounting and tax documents.
MIS & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS and management reports.
- Assist in financial statement preparation and account finalization.
- Prepare ageing reports, receivable reports, and payable reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide meaningful reporting support.
Account Reconciliation
- Perform bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
- Identify discrepancies and support timely resolution.
- Ensure accuracy of account balances and reporting.
Client Coordination
- Communicate with clients regarding accounting records and compliance requirements.
- Collect, verify, and organize financial documents.
- Support audit, taxation, and advisory assignments.
Required Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, BBS, BBA, or a related field.
✅ 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
✅ Fresh graduates with strong accounting knowledge are encouraged to apply.
✅ Good knowledge of:
- Accounting principles
- Bookkeeping
- Financial reporting
- VAT & TDS compliance
✅ Strong proficiency in:
- MS Excel
- Tally
- Swastik
- Accounting software and ERP systems
✅ Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
✅ Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an accounting firm, audit firm, or consulting environment.
- Knowledge of financial statement preparation.
- Experience handling multiple client accounts.
- Candidates pursuing master’s degree in Accounts and Finance, or other professional accounting qualifications will have an added advantage.
