Position Overview

A leading diversified industrial conglomerate engaged in manufacturing and trading businesses is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and result-oriented Head of Business Development to lead business growth, market expansion, strategic partnerships, and customer relationship development.

The role is ideal for a senior professional with strong commercial acumen, proven experience in sales and business development, and the ability to drive growth across distributors, contractors, consultants, institutional clients, and key customers nationwide.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement business development strategies to achieve sales and growth targets
  • Identify new market opportunities and support new product development initiatives
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with:
    • Distributors
    • Contractors
    • Consultants
    • Key customers
    • Institutional and corporate clients
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer trend assessment
  • Prepare and review sales forecasts, budgets, business plans, and performance reports
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, timely delivery, and smooth execution
  • Represent the organization in industry events, exhibitions, client meetings, and business forums
  • Monitor market feedback and recommend strategies for product positioning, market penetration, and sales improvement
  • Lead strategic growth planning and support expansion into new market segments
  • Drive business performance through structured planning, follow-up, and execution

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Preferably MBA / MBS or equivalent qualification in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a similar commercial role
  • Experience in manufacturing, trading, electrical products, wires & cables, construction materials, industrial products, or related sectors will be an advantage
  • Proven track record in sales growth, market development, and strategic relationship management
  • Strong analytical thinking, reporting ability, and business planning skills
  • Good understanding of dealer/distributor networks and institutional customer management

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship-building and client-handling capability
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive and result-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently and deliver assigned business targets
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with AI tools and digital productivity platforms will be an added advantage
