Gurans Hydro Pvt. Ltd., established in 2020 as a subsidiary of SG Group, is a leading hydropower developer in Nepal. With a mission to harness Nepal’s abundant water resources for clean energy generation, Gurans Hydro is committed to rural electrification, poverty alleviation, and national energy independence. The company is actively developing projects in Sankhuwasabha and Bajhang districts, with a combined capacity of over 105 MW expected to be operational by 2025.
- Develop and implement social management strategies aligned with hydropower project goals.
- Lead community engagement programs to build trust and cooperation with local stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and social safeguard policies.
- Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and community representatives to address social concerns.
- Manage grievance redress mechanisms and ensure timely resolution of community issues.
- Prepare reports on social impact, stakeholder engagement, and community development initiatives.
- Support CSR activities and promote sustainable development practices.
- Master’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in social management, preferably in hydropower, infrastructure, or development projects.
- Strong knowledge of social safeguard policies, community engagement, and stakeholder relations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in diverse cultural settings and remote project sites.
- Strategic planning and implementation of social programs.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to foster inclusive participation and community ownership.
- Proficiency in Nepali and English communication.
