🌍 About the Project:

The Tamakoshi-V Hydroelectric Project is a nationally prioritized clean energy development initiative designed to enhance Nepal’s power generation capacity. Managed under an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) model, this 99.8 MW project is being executed by SINOHYDRO – KSNS JV, which upholds the highest standards of quality, safety, and engineering excellence in infrastructure construction.

🎯 Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring that all materials, workmanship, and construction processes meet the required quality standards. The role includes implementing quality assurance protocols, conducting inspections, managing documentation, and supporting site teams in maintaining compliance with both project specifications and international standards.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) on-site in accordance with ISO 9001 or relevant standards.
• Conduct daily inspections of construction activities and materials to ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of inspection test plans (ITPs) and quality checklists.
• Support internal and external quality audits, and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, reports, and records.
• Coordinate with construction, safety, and planning teams to ensure quality compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, proposing preventive and corrective actions where necessary.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quality control/assurance in large-scale infrastructure or hydropower projects.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, ITPs, and QA/QC processes in construction environments.
• Prior experience in tunnel works, concrete works, and structural inspections is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of quality documentation, test methods, and inspection protocols.

• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant QA software tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Nepali.
• Team player with ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines under pressure.
