🌍 About the Project

SINOHYDRO–KSNS JV is executing the Tamakoshi-V Hydroelectric Project, a 99.8 MW run-of-the-river hydropower initiative under Nepal’s national priority. As part of our commitment to engineering excellence and precision, we are looking for a qualified and dedicated Geomatics Engineer to join our on-site technical team in Dolakha.

👤 Position Summary

The Geomatics Engineer will lead and coordinate all survey-related activities of the project, ensuring high-accuracy spatial data collection, analysis, mapping, and reporting. The role demands both technical expertise and field leadership, aligned with EPC hydropower project standards.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute detailed topographic and hydrographic surveys using modern geospatial instruments.
• Analyze and interpret survey data, generate digital terrain models (DTM), and align with project design and construction drawings.
• Ensure precise layout, alignment, and verification of tunnels, access roads, structures, and intake/diversion systems.
• Provide GIS-based mapping support for engineering, environmental, and land acquisition purposes.
• Prepare and maintain survey documentation, daily field logs, as-built drawings, and data archives for QA/QC and audit compliance.
• Coordinate with planning, billing, and engineering teams for IPC, BOQ validation, and construction tracking.
• Supervise survey crews and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols.

🎓 Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Survey Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure or EPC hydropower projects.
• Strong command of survey instruments: Total Station, GPS, Theodolite, Auto Level, Laser Scanners.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS/QGIS, and surveying-related data processing software.
• Familiarity with tunnel alignment, road profiling, slope monitoring, and GIS-based land management.
• Excellent technical reporting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to stay full-time in a remote project site environment.
