Job Overview

A leading company in the electrical manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking a competent, result-oriented, and highly motivated Assistant Manager – Project, Cable Division for its operations in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Assistant Manager – Project, Cable Division will be responsible for driving project business, expanding market presence, securing product approvals, and building strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and key stakeholders in the construction, infrastructure, commercial, and industrial sectors.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in project sales, business development, key account management, or project marketing.
  • Experience in the cable, wire, electrical products, construction materials, or industrial products sector will be highly preferred.
  • Strong professional network with consultants, contractors, architects, developers, EPC contractors, and institutional clients.
  • Sound understanding of project specifications, tendering processes, commercial negotiations, and project lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and sales reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities
Project Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute project sales strategies for the Cable Division.
  • Identify and secure business opportunities in commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Achieve assigned project sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Promote cable products and secure approvals and specifications in upcoming projects.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, developers, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular client visits and business development activities.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and long-term client engagement.
Market Expansion
  • Monitor project pipelines and emerging market opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Recommend strategies to increase market share and strengthen brand presence.
Tender & Project Coordination
  • Participate in tender submissions, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor project progress and support successful order conversion.
Reporting & Performance Management
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence updates.
  • Track performance against targets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Provide regular business updates to management.

Preferred Profile
  • Experience in project sales of cables, wires, switchgear, electrical accessories, or related electrical solutions.
  • Knowledge of Nepal’s construction, infrastructure, and industrial project market.
  • Proven track record of achieving project sales targets and securing major projects.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
