🔹 About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and result-driven Laboratory Supervisor to lead and strengthen laboratory operations at a major hydropower project. This role is pivotal in ensuring quality control, compliance, and technical excellence in construction materials and processes.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and quality requirements
• Oversee and validate material testing activities (raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products) with a focus on accuracy and reliability
• Ensure strict implementation of sampling and testing procedures, preventing the use of non-compliant materials
• Take full responsibility for concrete mix design, optimization, and performance validation
• Provide technical guidance on quality-related issues and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and supervision teams for smooth communication and issue resolution
• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and performance of laboratory equipment
• Manage laboratory resources including staff, consumables, inventory, and budget control
• Establish and enforce laboratory SOPs, quality systems, and documentation practices
• Lead, mentor, and develop the laboratory team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement

🔹 Job Requirements

🎓 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction laboratory management or material testing
• Proven experience in hydropower/infrastructure projects preferred
• Hands-on experience in concrete mix design and laboratory operations
• Relevant certifications in laboratory testing/quality control will be an advantage

🛠️ Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction material testing standards and quality control systems
• Proficiency in operating and managing laboratory equipment such as:
  • Compression testing machines
  • Cement strength testing equipment
  • Aggregate testing instruments
• Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and quality assurance practices
• Ability to handle technical problem-solving related to concrete and materials
