PCCC is currently executing the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydroelectric Project (216 MW) in Mailung, Rasuwa, and is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented professional to join the project team.​

Position overview

The Assistant Contract Manager will be responsible for overall contract administration, quantity verification, and claim management for the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydroelectric Project (216 MW).​
The role requires close coordination with site engineering, planning, commercial, and finance teams to ensure contractual compliance, accurate measurement records, and timely processing of variations and claims.​

Key responsibilities (Job Description)

• Review and interpret hydropower construction drawings and technical documents, including civil and electromechanical interfaces.​
• Perform quantity take-off and measurement from AutoCAD drawings and site data, and prepare cost estimates, cost analysis, and supporting reports.​
• Demonstrate relevant experience in hydropower projects, including civil works, electromechanical interface quantities, and site measurements.​
• Work at the project site; coordinate with engineers, departments, and other stakeholders; handle work pressure; and ensure proper communication for finalizing quantities and joint verification.​
• Prepare, substantiate, and finalize variation orders and claim quantification reports, including measurement records, rate analysis, and all necessary supporting documentation.​
• Maintain accurate measurement records and contract-related cost documents in line with company standards and audit requirements.​
• Work efficiently under site pressure and manage assigned responsibilities within defined timelines.​
• Work in the Contract Department and undertake other contract- and claim-related tasks as assigned by management.​

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.​
• 4–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in hydropower projects.​
• Proven experience in site measurement, variations, and claims management.​
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, and cost estimation tools.​
• Good understanding of EPC / FIDIC-based contracts.​
• Ability to work independently at remote project sites.​
• Proficiency in English and Nepali; Chinese language skills will be considered an added advantage.​

• Effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills for dealing with engineers, departments, and external parties on quantities, variations, and claims.​
• High level of integrity, ownership, and professionalism in handling contractual and commercial matters.​
