Job Summary

The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, maintaining food quality standards, and overseeing the preparation and presentation of dishes. This position demands hands-on culinary expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to hygiene, safety, and guest satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations to ensure smooth food preparation and service.
  • Support the Executive Chef in menu planning, food costing, and recipe development.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene, safety, and sanitation protocols.
  • Train, guide, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage supplies, and minimize wastage.
  • Assist in creating daily specials and seasonal menu items.
  • Coordinate with the restaurant and service teams for timely order delivery.
  • Oversee kitchen maintenance and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or training certificate in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in kitchen supervision and menu planning within a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Skilled in food preparation, hygiene, safety, and quality control.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of multi-cuisine preparation and creative presentation styles is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
