Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Manager to oversee the college’s transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing at least 30 vehicles while demonstrating flexibility and hands-on leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the college’s vehicle fleet of 30+ vehicles
• Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures
• Ensure regular maintenance and safety inspections of all vehicles
• Supervise drivers and transportation staff
• Maintain vehicle records, including logs, maintenance schedules, and repair histories
• Coordinate transportation schedules for college activities, events, and student transportation
• Manage vehicle procurement, replacement, and disposal processes
• Occasionally drive vehicles when required to support operational needs
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
• Develop and manage transportation budget
• Implement fuel efficiency and cost-saving strategies

Essential Flexibility Requirements:

• Must be available to drive vehicles at any time, with or without prior notice
• Willingness to step in as a driver during staff shortages, emergencies, or unexpected situations
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing transportation needs
• Comfortable operating various types of vehicles in the college fleet

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management
• Valid commercial driver’s license
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in fleet management software and technologies
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
