About the Project:

The Upper Trishuli-1 Hydroelectric Project is a major infrastructure development in Nepal’s renewable energy sector aimed at strengthening national power generation capacity. Power Construction Corporation of China Ltd., a leading EPC contractor, invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the Contract Engineer role to support project delivery and contract administration on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Contract Manager in the administration and execution of project contracts.
• Interpret and apply FIDIC contract conditions and monitor compliance.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of contractual documents, including subcontractor agreements and amendments.
• Track and manage contractual correspondence, notices, and claims.
• Support the preparation of Variation Orders (VOs) and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Maintain organized documentation and assist in reporting contract-related matters to the project management team.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for contract compliance and execution.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in contract engineering or contract administration in infrastructure or hydropower projects.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and experience working with EPC contractors preferred.
• Strong skills in contract drafting, analysis, and negotiation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel; knowledge of MS Project or Primavera is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
