Job Overview
We are seeking a Quality Testing Engineer to join our team for the Hydropower EPC Project. The Quality Testing Engineer will ensure that all construction and engineering activities meet the required standards and specifications. This role involves supervising on-site activities, maintaining quality control, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise on-site activities to ensure they are carried out according to plans and specifications.
- Control the quality of work on-site according to design drawings and project specifications.
- Identify and prepare related documents as per project requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of all site activities, including work completed, progress, delays, and issues.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, workers, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to hydropower projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Alternative Paths: Coding boot camps, QA training programs, or self-learning with hands-on projects.
Work Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in construction management, particularly in hydropower or other infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with manual testing and basic automation tools.
- Understanding of test cases, test plans, and defect reporting.
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Basic programming skills in CAD 2D, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Language Skills:
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Knowledge of Nepali and/or Chinese is an advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- Core Software Testing Certifications (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester).
- Automation Testing Certifications (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete).
- Software-Related Testing Certifications (e.g., Agile Testing, Performance Testing).
- Specialized Testing Certifications (e.g., API Testing, Mobile Testing).
