Everest Parenterals Pvt. Ltd. is Nepal’s first state-of-the-art sterile injectable manufacturing facility. The plant is ideally situated in Chhatapipra, Bara, Nepal, which adjoins India through its border in Bihar. It is the first plant in Nepal that facilitates the manufacturing of large-volume Parenterals, Small-Volume Parenterals, Eye/Ear Drops, and nasal Spray under one roof. It was incepted in 2015 with a vision to provide high-quality injectables to the country at low costs, making the country self-sufficient in injectable products.

Position Overview:
Everest Parenterals is seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Procurement to lead our procurement strategy and operations. This senior leadership role will be crucial in developing and implementing procurement initiatives that align with our business objectives, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement Leadership:
Formulate and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the organization’s long-term goals, establishing measurable KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.
- Procurement Process Oversight:
Lead the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring adherence to best practices in supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management. Implement tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture that encourages professional growth.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and finance to understand their procurement needs and deliver tailored solutions that support overall supply chain strategy.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Market Trend Monitoring:
Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and regulatory changes impacting the pharmaceutical industry. Utilize market intelligence to make informed decisions and proactively mitigate risks.
- Sustainability and Compliance Initiatives:
Drive sustainability initiatives within the procurement function and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Experience:
10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
- Industry Knowledge:
Extensive understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and industry regulations.
- Contract Negotiation Skills:
Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking:
Strong analytical skills with the capability to develop strategic solutions based on data-driven insights.
- Exceptional Communication and Leadership Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong leadership qualities.
