ABOUT THE PROJECT
Upper Trishuli-1 HEP is a prestigious 216 MW hydropower development project located in Mailung, Rasuwa, committed to advancing Nepal’s sustainable energy infrastructure. As a critical component of the nation’s power generation strategy, we are seeking a detail-oriented Account and Finance Assistant to support our financial operations.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are recruiting a skilled Account and Finance Assistant to join our dynamic financial team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, supporting accounting processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for our large-scale hydropower project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Record Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare and process financial transactions and journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes
- Organize and maintain financial documentation and filing systems
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Prepare payment vouchers and maintain vendor payment records
- Assist in managing project-related financial documentation
- Support budget tracking and expense monitoring
Financial Reporting
- Compile financial reports and supporting documentation
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support internal and external financial audits
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Prepare expense analysis and financial performance reports
Project Financial Support
- Track project-specific financial transactions
- Assist in cost control and financial monitoring
- Support budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Coordinate with project managers on financial matters
- Maintain accurate records of project-related expenses
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional accounting certifications preferred
- Advanced diploma in accounting an advantage
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or financial role
- Preferably experience in infrastructure or construction project finance
- Familiarity with financial operations in large-scale projects
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Swastik or relevant software)
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- Knowledge of financial reporting and taxation principles
- Familiarity with ERP systems

- Location: Mailung, Rasuwa (2-weeks) & Corporate office (2-weeks)
